This course develops knowledge and understanding of business alongside a strong emphasis on practical skills development. This course provides education and training for a range of careers in business such as management, administration, personnel, marketing, accounting and law. The core units covered in the HNC qualification are the business environment, financial resources, organisation and behaviour, marketing principles.In addition students undertake four further units which relate specifically to the areas of marketing, human resources, finance and operations.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Business has been jointly developed by UK employers and Edexcel and is designed for those who wish to develop real practical skills across a range of essential business and management areas. Alternatively, those already working in supervisory or junior management positions would benefit from those courses and gain practical skills and a formal management qualification.

In the context of personal development, it also provides a foundation for continuing professional and personal development in programme or project management.

Aim of the Course

It will give you a greater understanding of the various roles and responsibilities involved in Business Management and through focusing on specific areas on management, we'll tailor your qualification to suit your professional needs.

This course enables progression to BTEC (Level 5) HND in Business and then onto the 3rd year of a part-time degree course in Business. Alternatively progression could be to further professional qualifications within a specific business specialism.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess at least 4 GCSEs, one GCE A level with a good command of the English Language. Equivalent overseas qualifications are also accepted. Applicants over 21 years of age without formal qualifications with appropriate work experience may also be accepted. All candidates will be asked to provide evidence of their proficiency in English Language.
